Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that Vietnam is focusing on accelerating digital transformation to promote the development of the digital economy and digital society. In 2021, the National Committee on Digital Transformation was established with the Prime Minister as Chairman, the Minister of Information and Communications as Vice Chairman; Vietnam has also issued the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with orientation to 2030, the Strategy for E-Government Development towards Digital Government in the 2021-2025 period, with orientation to 2030, and the Strategy. The country develops the digital economy and digital society by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Regarding cooperation between the two ministries, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung suggested that the two sides strengthen the sharing of strategic orientations on the digital economy and digital society, especially supporting the development of legal documents for mutual development. development; The two Ministries can hold a joint workshop on this subject. Cooperation in telecommunications and frequency management, especially in frequency allocation/auction for 5G networks, commercialization and 5G ecosystem building. At the same time, the Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam also suggested that the two sides share experiences in building digital platforms for digital transformation and support and facilitate information technology businesses of Vietnam and Thailand. investment and business in the two countries.

On this occasion, the Minister also cordially invited Thai Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn to visit and attend the ASEAN Conference on 5G in October 2022 in Vietnam.

Thanks to the invitation of the Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, the Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand emphasized that Vietnam and Thailand are two ASEAN member countries that are making great efforts in the development. digital economy and digital society.
