The People’s Committee of Tan An Ward is taking steps to revoke and cancel the death notice of L.

On May 21, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nha, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Tan An Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak) said that in the locality, a mother went to the ward to report fake news about her 3-year-old son. I died to apply for a death certificate.

Before that, Ms. TTNP went to the People’s Committee of Tan An ward to declare that her son NHL (3 years old) had died at home from pneumonia, she asked the ward officer to carry out the procedures to declare his son’s death. On May 11, the People’s Committee of Tan An ward issued a death certificate for L.

On May 19, L.’s paternal family knew the above information, so they posted on Facebook about the fact that L. was still alive but was declared dead by his mother. After retrieving the information, the People’s Committee of Tan An ward went to verify and said that L. is still alive, being sent by Mrs. P. in Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nha, Vice Chairman of Tan An Ward People’s Committee, the ward is currently making an explanatory report, and at the same time contacted the Justice Department of Buon Ma Thuot City to revoke and cancel this incorrect death certificate.

Mr. Nha added that during the process of issuing the death certificate for the above child, the Tan An ward’s staff did not call to verify where the child lived, so an error occurred.

“Mrs. P. presented all kinds of identification documents to prove that she was the biological mother of L. Because she saw that Mrs. P. was grieving, the judicial officer did not ask further and no one thought that the mother would register the child’s death. There should be a mistake in the intestines”, Mr. Nha informed.

According to Mr. Nha, Mrs. P and her husband are divorced. Initially, Mrs. P. did not want her ex-husband to see her son anymore, so she made a death notice for L. so that the husband would believe that L. was dead.

The case is still being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
