Thanh Nha said the trip was organized by the group she worked for, including two stages to Everest base station (EBC – Everest Basecamp), an altitude of 5,364 m and Mount Everest of 8,849 m. The program attracted many registrations from representatives of companies belonging to the group. They’ve been training together for half a year. After 8 days of climbing, the group reached EBC, but only Nha remained to continue to climb Everest.

On May 11, she started from EBC to Everest. “I didn’t have any difficulties or obstacles in the journey, my fitness is good and thanks to the nice weather, I climbed the last leg very quickly, passing some people who have climbed before,” she added.

This is the most beautiful time of the year. Nha reached the top at 3:00 am on May 16, being the first person of the day. She stayed at the top of the world’s highest mountain longer than planned, taking souvenir photos, enjoying the feeling of conquest. She is currently waiting for the certificate.

Earlier on the morning of May 16, the company specializing in organizing Seven Summit Treks in Nepal confirmed that Thanh Nha had successfully conquered Mount Everest. Mr. Thaneswar Guragai, manager of Seven Summit Treks, also said that Nha was the first person to climb Everest on May 16. She climbed very fast and strong on the last day.

According to the list updated to 12/2021 of The Himalayan Database, Elegant She is the first Vietnamese woman to climb the highest mountain in the world. The previous three Vietnamese were all men.

Thanh Nha, from the 8X generation, is a lawyer in Ho Chi Minh City. During the past 5 years, she has conquered many high mountains on all continents around the world, including Vinson Massif, the highest in Antarctica earlier this year. Because of the harsh weather and rugged terrain, Vinson in Antarctica has only about 1,000 conquerors, equal to 1/7 of the people who have succeeded with Mount Everest. Nha goes to Antarctica in the summer, the temperature drops to minus 20 degrees Celsius. She camped overnight on the ice, carried a heavy backpack, and waited 7 days in the mountains before a helicopter came to pick her up because of bad weather.
