According to the investigative agency, after receiving a petition to prosecute for a case of criminal signs in the procurement of biological products and medical equipment of Viet A Technology Joint Stock Company, which occurred in Dong Thap province, On April 21, the investigating agency brought the case to the settlement according to the process of handling denunciations, information about crimes or petitions for prosecution.

Through the settlement results, there are enough grounds to determine that the case has criminal signs, so a criminal case should be instituted.

According to the inspection conclusion of the procurement of medical equipment, supplies, biological products, COVID-19 test kits in Dong Thap province, the total value of the contract for the procurement of medical equipment, supplies, biological products, Testing kits of units in 2020 – 2021 are more than 742 billion VND. Of these, the contract value for medical equipment is nearly 84 billion VND, medical supplies are more than 182 billion VND; biological products for testing more than 305 billion VND and test kits nearly 170 billion VND.

Particularly for products of Viet A Company, units in Dong Thap have purchased 10 bidding packages with a contract value of more than 233 billion VND. In which, the actual purchase value is more than 197 billion VND, nearly 157 billion VND has been paid and more than 40.6 billion VND have not been paid.
