You only obey when I raise my voice

I am 32 years old, have a child in first grade. My wife and I work in shifts, we can’t take care of the baby, so we send our children to grandparents to take care of.

Grandparents love the baby very much, but the way of teaching is not appropriate, always maximum respect for the child’s requirements, from personal hygiene, eating, watching TV, playing. In particular, any request that affects the grandparents’ rights, such as generating money or having fun for the grandparents, the grandparents shouted loudly, even hitting the child to not ask for it. Gradually, my baby got used to this type of communication.

>> Two teenagers in puberty don’t listen to me

When I interact with my child, I am always gentle in communication, without putting any pressure on him, but he shows a non-cooperative attitude. When I was strict, she showed fear and obeyed. Currently, the baby goes to school, I still do not have enough conditions to pick him up, while his grandparents always tell him that my wife and I are evil, if we live together, we will be exiled. I feel that my husband and I are becoming more and more distant. In this situation, I really don’t know how to change the way I communicate with the baby. Looking forward to your advice.
