In addition to discovering methamphetamine in Nguyen Manh Sang’s body, the police found a handgun and many bullets when searching his residence in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa).
On May 20, Sang (26 years old, native of Phu Yen) was detained by the Nha Trang City Police to investigate drug possession. At the same time, the investigation agency sealed the gun and ammunition collected from Sang and transferred it to the Criminal Technical Department of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police for assessment and handling.
Yesterday afternoon, the working group of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team (Nha Trang City Police) patrolled on Nguyen Khanh Toan Street, Vinh Hai Ward, saw Sang having suspicious expressions, so he approached to check. Seeing the police shadow, Sang fled, but could not escape.
Checking on this man, the task force found methamphetamine hidden in the pocket of his pants.
Searching Sang’s residence nearby, authorities recovered a Rulo revolver, three bullets, a jar for smashing rocks, and a motorbike suspected of theft that was obtained with a fake number plate.
Initially Sang admitted the amount of methamphetamine to use. And the gun ordered online to hide in the body for self-defense purposes.
