Billionaire Bill Gates likes to use folding phone Galaxy Z Fold3-Hi-tech fashion
The Galaxy Z Fold3, one of Samsung’s most recognizable folding phones on the market, is becoming the product the Microsoft founder is more interested in than the Surface Duo 2.
In an AMA (ask me anything) interview with the Reddit community, Bill Gates admitted that he is actually using a Galaxy Z Fold3. He said: “I have a Galaxy Z Fold3. With this monitor, I can use it as a great portable PC and phone.”
It was interesting to see Gates introduce the Galaxy Z Fold3 instead of Microsoft’s Surface Duo 2, but this is not too surprising when Samsung and Microsoft have had a longstanding partnership in the mobile space.
First, Galaxy phones have long offered many pre-installed Microsoft apps. Furthermore, the Your Phone service that allows connectivity between Windows and Android also has some Galaxy phone-specific features (e.g. content transfer, phone screen functionality).
The partnership also extends to folding phones after Samsung and Microsoft announced last year that pre-installed Office, Outlook and Teams apps will receive folding enhancements on the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3. So there’s certainly a lot of synergy between the two companies in the mobile space.
