Leaders and many staff of a hospital in Ca Mau were “terrorized” by a group of strangers

Many officials and leaders of Cai Nuoc General Hospital (Ca Mau) were called by a group of strangers to “terrorize” their spirit.

On May 21, reflecting to the press, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duyen, Deputy Director of Cai Nuoc General Hospital (Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau province) said that the unit had reported to the police of this district about many employees. Hospital staff members were called out on social media for no reason to “terrorize” the spirit, smear, to put pressure to ask for loans through the app.

Images are assigned by objects and then shared on social networks.

According to Mr. Duyen, for about 2 months now, images of him and many hospital staff have been used to download on social networks, along with content that is slanderous, defamatory, and insulting to collect debts.

“As soon as information about debt collection appeared, the hospital directed the Administration Department to invite all hospital staff to find out the matter.

All said and confirmed that there was no borrowing money through the app. My family is the same, no one borrows money like the other group posted”, Mr. Duyen added.

And Ms. HTTG (whose name was called for debt collection) said that she and her family did not borrow money but were “called out” on social networks.

“They slandered me with a loan of 55 million dong to play, to show off, to live virtual on social networks… They used my pictures to slander on social networks, causing my spirit to panic.” Ms. G. is upset.

Mr. NQK worried: “I was in peace, suddenly I was asked for a debt of 100 million VND. I don’t know where they could find pictures of my wife and children to post, stigmatize, making my wife and I extremely worried.” .

According to the leader of Cai Nuoc General Hospital, every day, on average, they make more than 50 calls to the hospital’s leadership number.

In addition, they kept calling Emergency Department and ICU numbers, causing interruptions in call reception.

“I hope the authorities will verify and strictly handle it so that we can work safely,” Duyen said.
