More than 19 million Vietnamese have vaccine passports, how to look up?

Information from the Portal of the Ministry of Health about the Covid-19 epidemic, as of May 21, the country had more than 19 million people with vaccine passports.

Vaccine passports have been deployed by Vietnam nationwide since April 15, in order to create the most favorable conditions for citizens wishing to go abroad. Passport includes 11 fields of information, packaged in the form of a QR code.

According to the Information Technology Department, Ministry of Health, a vaccine passport is an electronic certificate of Covid-19 vaccination signed by vaccination facilities and the Ministry of Health based on people’s vaccination information. This passport is currently used in 62 countries with standards issued by the World Health Organization and the European Union.

Up to this point, the electronic vaccine passport is being displayed on the PC-Covid application. People can access this application, go to the vaccine passport section displayed on the screen. In addition, the vaccine passport is updated on the e-Health application. In the coming time, there will be more on the lookup page the Ministry of Health is working on.

According to the Information Technology Department, people who have been vaccinated and have their data updated on the system by the vaccination facility, authenticated with the correct information with the National Population Database, will be signed with a passport confirmation number. vaccines without any further procedures.

When vaccination information on the Immunization Portal or on the Electronic Health Book has errors, people contact the vaccination facility to be supplemented and updated. In addition to direct contact, people can reflect on the Covid-19 vaccination portal at https://tiemchungcovid19.gov.vn.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health show that by May 21, the whole country had injected 219,047,772 doses of Covid-19 vaccine. In which, the number of doses for people aged 18 years and over is 198,219,012 doses (1st dose, 2nd dose, 3rd dose, additional and repeated doses). The number of doses given to children aged 12-17 years old is 17,423,280 doses, and children from 5-11 years old are 3,405,480 doses.

Previously, the Ministry of Health also announced that the deadline for completing vaccination data across the country was before June 1, 2022.
