Nearly 43,000 candidates took part in the second round of competency assessment of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City

In addition to the national high school graduation exam, this is a separate exam organized by the university with the largest number of candidates. In particular, in the second round of this exam, over 66% of the candidates had taken the first exam in March, in order to improve their test scores for university and college admissions.

Out of nearly 43,000 candidates registered for the second round, there were more than 26,000 candidates, accounting for more than 60%, who had participated in the first round. According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee, in the case of candidates taking both exams, The results of the exam that are higher will be used for admission to universities and colleges.

If in 2018, only 5,000 candidates applied for admission to 6 schools, this year, a total of more than 120,000 candidates took part in both exams. Currently, more than 86 universities and colleges have used the results of this exam to partially qualify for the 2022 quota.

This year, both aptitude tests took place first National High School Exam. This will help candidates have more options to go to university, reducing pressure for them in the national high school exam in July.

It is expected that the units of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City will announce the results of admission by this exam before June 5.
