Cases exempted from isolation

According to information from the KTO, people entering the country are exempt from isolation when they have completed their Covid-19 vaccination in Vietnam.

Isolation exemption applies to those who have completed the 2nd dose of vaccine after 14 days and within 180 days (6 months); who have completed the 3rd dose of vaccination.

Regarding Covid-19 testing, with pre-entry testing, Korea accepts PCR test results or RAT rapid test (applicable from May 23, 2022).

In case of PCR test: Test result within 48 hours, or RAT rapid test result paper valid within 24 hours made before entry in Korea

People entering the country need to do a PCR test within 3 days of entry (starting from June 1, 2022).

Visa-free at Yangyang and Jeju airports

Visa-free entry policy in Jeju applies from June 1, 2022

Visa-free entry policy at Yangyang airport only applies from June 1, 2022 for groups of 5 or more people buying tours of travel companies. Groups entering and exiting at Yangyang airport will be exempted from visa for 15 days and move to visit places in Gangwon-do and the Capital Region (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon)

Conditions of application: In Jeju, tourists must comply with epidemic prevention rules when arriving on the island such as completing vaccinations before entry at Jeju airport and absolutely not allowed to move to other areas that are not Jeju Island.

In Yangyang, tourists must comply with epidemic prevention rules upon entry at Yangyang airport such as completing vaccinations before arriving in Korea, and only registering tourism products developed by travel agencies. appointed by the province of Gangwon-do in conjunction with a travel company specializing in Korean products in Vietnam.

Procedures and documents to be prepared before entering Korea: Certificate of negative test results by PCR or RAT rapid test (English or Korean); Certificate of Completion of Immunization (English or Korean); Register information at the Q-CODE system to enter epidemiological information.

Specific instructions for the procedures to be prepared

– Certificate of negative result by PCR method or RAT . rapid test

All foreign tourists (except for children under 6 years old) who intend to enter Korea need to prepare a certificate of negative test results by PCR or rapid RAT test.

Those who do not have a negative test result certificate or an unacceptable test result certificate will be restricted (or not allowed) to board the plane.

(this has nothing to do with confirming completion of vaccinations)

PCR test results must be valid within 48 hours from the time of testing and up to the time of departure to Korea.

The contents to be mentioned in the Certificate of Results: Full name of the person being tested (exactly according to the information on the Passport), Date of birth, Method of implementation, Time of testing, Results Testing, Time of issuance of Certificate, Place of testing.

Language used: English or Korean.

RAT test results must be valid within 24 hours from the time of testing and up to the time of departure to Korea.

Method of implementation: Test using a dedicated rapid test kit.

Subjects who do not need to submit a certificate of negative test results by PCR or RAT: Children under 6 years old (at the time of entry and only if the adults in the group submit the Certificate of Authenticity). received a negative test result).

As for the Certificate of Immunization Completion: Those who have completed the 2nd injection in Korea or another country by the time of entry or have completed the 3rd supplementary injection.
