The stage name Tuyet Mai is taken from her third daughter. When peace was restored, she returned to Hanoi and took a job at the Voice of Vietnam.

In 1958, People’s Artist Tuyet Mai married excellent artist Phan Phuc, former head of the Voice of Vietnam music troupe, who was 10 years younger than her. It is known that the two had a very romantic love story. According to the People’s Police, the two met when Phan Phuc was 23 years old and returned to work at the Voice of Vietnam. And artist Tuyet Mai has turned 33 years old, is a publicist with a job as a broadcaster at Radio Voice of Vietnam.
