Tourists are ecstatic before the most beautiful mausoleum tree in Vietnam

On the morning of May 20, hundreds of tourists using cars and motorbikes parked along the roadside of National Highway 1 through Hong Liem commune (Ham Thuan Bac, Binh Thuan) to admire “the most beautiful mausoleum tree in Vietnam”.

At this time, Lang Lang has just flowered for more than 10 days, the purple color is even and beautiful. Taking advantage of the sunrise, which is bright enough, many locals and tourists, old and young, have come here to save themselves the best photos of the original with the purple mausoleum. Many tourists also prepare ao dai and conical hats to create a beautiful shape.

Lang Lang tree is owned by old farmer Vo Van Ban (63 years old), located next to National Highway 1, the section through Hong Liem commune, more than 30 km from Phan Thiet city to the northwest. 23 years ago, during a farming trip across the slopes of Nui Dat, more than 3 km away from home, Mr. Ban saw that the bush of guava mausoleum had a beautiful shape, so he put it on a motorbike and passed it home to plant.

Initially, the bush is less than 2 meters high, the flowers are beautiful, but many branches bounce unevenly. Through the caring and pruning hands of Mr. Ban, up to now, the Lang Lang tree is taller than the roof, spreading the shape of a mushroom, shaped from 7 branches, lying in the same root. Each small branch bounces a long calyx, including many clusters of purple, round, extremely eye-catching flowers.

In order to shape the root of the beautiful mausoleum as it is today, in addition to pruning, Mr. Ban has to be sophisticated in applying manure twice, watching at the right time when the leaves have just dropped and the flower buds are ready. Mr. Ban said the tree usually flowers at the beginning of the rainy season, and lasts about a month. In the last two years, the rainy season in Binh Thuan has come early, so the mausoleum root also flowers earlier than usual.

The beauty of the “most beautiful” mausoleum in Binh Thuan in Binh Thuan is widely spread, attracting a lot of tourists to come here every time the tree blooms.

Although every day hundreds of people come to admire and take pictures from dawn to dusk, Mr. Ban’s family is not bothered, but on the contrary is very proud of the commendable care efforts.

“Once a person from Ho Chi Minh City ran out to take pictures, then they saw a beautiful tree, wondered to buy it for 500 million dong, but I shook my head. Billions can be had by many people, but such a unique tree stump. This is not something everyone has, and everyone can own it,” said Mr. Vo Xuan Ban.

According to Master Vo Van Thuong, Binh Thuan Forest Protection Department, the original mausoleum that many tourists find to check in in Hong Liem commune is the guava mausoleum, scientific name Lagerstroemia calyculata Kurz, family Horoscope (Lythraceae).

This flower variety is distributed in many places in the province, especially in hillside areas. Along National Highway 1 through the northern districts of Binh Thuan province, there are many places where this plant is grown as ornamental or in the wild.
