Conquering the top of the mountain known as the roof of the world is inherently a challenge for anyone who is passionate about adventure. Therefore, instead of reaching the top of Everest, many people choose to set foot in the base camp at an altitude of 5,364 meters.

Conquering the cold mountain at an altitude of thousands of meters has certainly never been easy for adults. However, a girl made everyone admire when she was only 10 years old, but completed the trip and arrived at the Everest base camp with an altitude of 5,364 meters.

Rhythm Mamania, 10, from Mumbai became the youngest Indian mountaineer to climb the base camp. The girl in 5th grade defied harsh climatic conditions to set foot in the base camp for the first time in her life.

Originally a figure skater, she made an impression when she completed a trek to climb one of the most difficult places in the world.

Rhythm Mamania’s 5,386 meters above sea level trek took place within 11 days of its start.

The steep terrain, hail, snow, and temperature sometimes below minus 15 degrees Celsius could not dampen the spirit of the elementary school girl.

Rhythm Mamania’s mother shared that she started showing a love of climbing and a desire to conquer high mountains about 5 years ago. Rhythm Mamania completed her longest trek in Dudhsagar with a record of 21 km hiking.

Since then, she has “pocketed” many achievements to conquer different peaks such as Sahyadri, Karnala, Lohagad and Mahuli.

However, the climb to conquer the Everest base camp was a completely new and most difficult experience for Rhythm Mamania.

The girl said: “The purpose of the trip is to successfully conquer Everest base camp, so I don’t mind the cold too much. I like sports. Sometimes experiencing hail, climbing in low temperatures is the thing. new and exciting”.

She experienced harsh weather and steep terrain, walking continuously for many hours in a row.

After arriving at the base camp, Rhythm Mamania’s group decided to take a helicopter for the return trip, but she insisted that she would walk down on her own. In the end, 4 others joined Rhythm Mamania on the way back.

“Hiking through the jungle is my passion, but after this trip taught me the importance of being a professional and responsible climber, needing to tackle the problem of waste management on the road” , shared by Rhythm Mamania.

In this conquest, Rhythm Mamania accompanied her parents Urmi and Harsh. Before starting the trip, the 10-year-old girl practices every day by running up and down stairs in a building near her house at 5 am.
