31st SEA Games Finalist | Vietnam’s TTVN team is the best in the whole group with a record number of gold medals

On the last day of competition on May 22, Vietnamese athletes exploded with 24 gold medals from diving (5), muaythai (4), boxing (3), shooting (2), bicycle (2), aerobic (2) ), esports (2), billiards (1), tennis (1), vovinam (1) and football (1).

In the end, the Vietnamese delegation won first place at the 31st SEA Games, far ahead of the Thai sports delegation in second place with 90 gold medals. The Indonesian delegation finished in third place with 68 gold medals.

The Vietnamese sports delegation closed the sports festival successfully beyond expectations. In total, Vietnam has 205 gold medals at SEA Games 31, leading the ranking table. This is a new record of the Games, far surpassing the record of 194 gold medals that Indonesia had at the 1997 SEA Games Jakarta.

Tonight, May 23, the closing ceremony of the 31st SEA Games will take place at the indoor Palace of Athletics, Hanoi.
