Before that, on the evening of March 23, truck BKS 92C – 007.02 carrying cement was driven by driver Nguy Nhu Hien (SN 1990, residing in Hoi An city, Quang Nam) on Highway 1A in the direction of Hue – Da Nang.

When traveling on Highway 1A near the Animal Quarantine station located in Loc Thuy commune (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien-Hue), the car broke down, so Mr. Hien stopped the car on the side of the road to check. At this time, driver Vi Thai Hung (SN 1976, residing in Quang Ngai province) driving a container truck BKS 76H – 006.84 pulling a trailer 76R-005.46 in the same direction rushed into the rear of the truck at high speed. The accident caused heavy damage to the container tractor, the driver was trapped in the cabin, and the nearby garage workers used a cutter to cut the door out. Faced with this situation, at the inspection of traffic safety along National Highway 1A through the province in mid-May 2022, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People’s Committee asked the functional forces to strengthen the patrol Inspection and control to minimize the occurrence of traffic accidents, especially strictly handle the situation of vehicles stopping and parking illegally along the route. Because it is located close to National Highway 1A, many restaurants do not have enough space for parking or the parking lot is too small. This leads to drivers having to stop for breakfast and lunch every time in the middle of the road, occupying the road for rudimentary vehicles, causing vehicles to go to the lane for motor vehicles.

“It is very dangerous for trucks and passenger cars to park on the roadway in the morning, noon and evening. This is usually the time when students go to school and people go to work, so the traffic is very crowded and easy.
