Ancient Hue, dreaming through the eyes of a girl Saigon-Travel
With her friend “bombarding” Hue for 3 days, the girl in her twenties felt a poetic and peaceful Hue.
Nguyen Thi My Ngoan, 26 years old, working in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City, had a youthful trip to a land with many time-stamped works and famous scenic spots.
Coming to Hue for 3 days, she and her friend traveled everywhere, admiring the beauties of the past and the modern.
Check-in at Thuy Xuan incense village
“Hue is my next trip after Da Nang – Hoi An two years ago. People say that Hue is sad, so I want to experience a different perspective,” Ngoan shared with the magazine Travel HCMC.
Day 1: Citadel – Thuy Xuan incense village – Thien Mu Pagoda – Truong Tien Bridge
It was originally planned to go all the way to Hue Citadel and the mausoleums on the first day. However, when they arrived, they found out that the next day Hue opened the free gate to the relic site on the occasion of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue, so the two of you just went to the Citadel. The Citadel is quite large and under repair, so it takes quite a while to visit it all from morning to early afternoon.

“The next destination after the Citadel is the famous Thuy Xuan incense village. As soon as we arrived at the incense village, it started to rain. Here, there are many places for you to take pictures,” Ngoan recalls.

Coming to Thien Mu Pagoda, the air here is very cool by the river
The colorful Truong Tien Bridge gives the two of you many emotions. The lights change color many times, making Hue more poetic by the Perfume River.

Day 2: Tomb of King Minh Mang – Hai Van Pass – Lang Co – Lap An Lagoon – Tomb of King Khai Dinh – Thuy Tien Lake Park
“That day, the mausoleums were free to visit, we took advantage of the early access to King Minh Mang’s mausoleum, then moved to Hai Van pass about 70 kilometers, the road was long but easy to go, beautiful scenery. On the way to Lang Co is located along National Highway 1A, so is Lap An lagoon,” Ngoan said.

On the way back, the two of you stopped at the tomb of King Khai Dinh. If Minh Mang Tomb has a peaceful, ancient beauty with mainly red and yellow tones, Khai Dinh Tomb has a beauty of the intersection between ancient and modern, between East and West with mainly white and blue colors, Ngoan feels. .

Day 3: Thien An Hill – Vong Canh Hill – Dong Ba Market
These two hills are quite close to each other, Ngoan prefers Vong Canh hill, looking at the Perfume river under the pine hill. In the afternoon, the two of you went to buy some gifts and took advantage of eating some more dishes in Hue to return to Saigon. Food in Hue is delicious, the price is quite cheap. Ngoan enjoys quite a lot of Hue food, but the impression is still Hue beef noodle soup, which is the dish that Ngoan ate again for the second time on the trip, it is different from the “bun bo Hue” that this girl often eats.
Thien An Hill in Hue is likened to “Da Lat” by many people.
Then, back to the hotel to rest, fly back to Saigon in the evening and end the two girls’ full 3-day trip. “Fortunately, the weather pampered us. Due to the heavy rain forecast, it only rained on the afternoon of the 1st and the evening of the day we returned.

Regarding transportation, the two of you flew to Hue, took a taxi to the hotel from the airport, then rented a motorbike through the hotel. The total cost of this trip is 6 million VND for two people.
“Hue is gentle, bringing the breath of ancient and poetic. Hue is beautiful not only in mausoleum works, but also in beautiful natural places such as Vong Canh hill where you can see the Perfume River. In the evening, the West Street area is quite bustling and chill, which will pull emotions up so as not to be too quiet following Hue during the day,” Ngoan said.
