Cambodia to host SEA Games 32

On the evening of May 23, at the closing ceremony of the 31st SEA Games, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung presented the flag of the Southeast Asian Sports Federation to the representative of Cambodia. This is a symbolic action for the transfer of the role of the host country of the SEA Games. Next year, Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to May 16, 2023.

This is the first time Cambodia has hosted the SEA Games. The host country is expected to organize 40 sports competitions, with Olympic, ASIAD and some traditional sports groups having strengths of Cambodia.

Cambodia has prepared carefully in terms of facilities such as completing the construction of a stadium with a capacity of 65,000 spectators, with the promise of bringing impressive sports experiences to Southeast Asian sports delegations at the university. sports festival next year.

During the closing ceremony of SEA Games 31, Cambodia also launched the mascot, logo and slogan of SEA Games 32 at the welcome art performance.

The official slogan of the 32nd SEA Games is “Sports in Peace”.

The Cambodian sports delegation won 9 gold medals, 13 silver medals, 41 bronze medals, ranking 8th on the medal table at the 31st SEA Games.
