Taking on the role of staging the closing ceremony, director Hoang Cong Cuong and his associates are rushing to prepare the most well-rounded repertoire and performances, in order to create the boldest impression in the eyes of the audience. .

Thereby, he wants not only Vietnamese audience but also friends throughout Southeast Asia to see a successful, invested and meaningful SEA Games.

Sharing about the progress of the closing ceremony of the SEA Games, director Hoang Cong Cuong said: “The stage for the closing ceremony was made indoors and we had to wait for the contents of the competition to finish before the crew could enter. Implemented the setup and installation of the stage, sound, light and equipment for the closing night.

We only have 3 days to assemble the stage, the time is also quite tight, our crew is giving 200% effort for the closing ceremony. This will also be the biggest indoor stage ever in Vietnam.”

Before the pressure of the opening ceremony, director Hoang Cong Cuong shared: “I have read a lot of comments on newspapers and social networks, many controversies broke out, me and the crew. Everyone listens to the request and thanks for those positive comments.

There is no right or wrong in art, art is from each person’s perspective, but the structure of the opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games is very tight because each performance has its message and connection.

I feel very proud because we and the team have successfully completed the implementation of the script from concept to reality with very difficult conditions in terms of time, weather and technology.”

Currently, the entire crew is actively preparing for the closing night of the 31st SEA Games. Because they want to create a warm and friendly space, technology will not be applied as much as in the opening night. However, this will be a grand indoor stage with a total LED screen area used up to 580m2 along with the main stage of 611m2, the side stage of 315m2 to create sound effects and the light.

According to director Hoang Cong Cuong, the closing ceremony of the 31st SEA Games with the theme: “Convergence to shine”, consists of 3 parts: Part 1 My Hanoi – Your love (My Hanoi – Your love) , part 2 Convergence, part 3 Shine.

The closing ceremony stage will be the place to deposit emotions, love for sports, national pride and solidarity among countries in Southeast Asia. Here, viewers will witness emotional but equally proud moments of athletes who have won and brought glory to the nation and nation.

In addition, this will also be an opportunity to summarize the entire journey of the 31st SEA Games, about the impressive numbers, the number of medals achieved by athletes from 11 countries, the records awarded by the SEA Games. establishing and awarding the best athletes.

In addition, director Hoang Cong Cuong also revealed that initially, the closing scenario of the 31st SEA Games only had about 90 actors, artists and singers participating. However, up to now, the number has increased to more than 200 people. So this is not only a challenge for the new members, but even the crew must know how to arrange the performance to be the most balanced and well-balanced.

Director Hoang Cong Cuong further shared the reason for holding the SEA Games closing ceremony indoors is to bring warmth, closeness and cohesion. That is also the message of solidarity and attachment that Southeast Asian countries want to convey at the 31st SEA Games.

According to director Hoang Cong Cuong, the Cambodian representative will bring a performance imbued with the culture of Angkor Wat to welcome countries participating in the 32nd SEA Games.
