“I don’t care about the defeats in the Chaos Round”

Over the past few weeks, at MSI 2022, there was a Melee round with many unexpected results. Besides the sudden loss of G2 Esports to PSG Talon, T1 also made fans worried. Since the start of the Melee round, Faker and his teammates have not really had too good results. In particular, they lost both matches against G2 and Royal Never Give Up – 2 direct competitors for the MSI championship this season.

In addition, in the match against PSG on May 22 (Vietnam time), T1’s performance was not really convincing. If it weren’t for Oner’s stable performance as well as Faker’s stellar performances, and PSG himself did not play well, it is possible that T1 would have had to lose before the representative from the PCS region. This has made T1 fans extremely insecure, especially in the performance of the players.

Even if they win against PSG, T1 still has many worries

However, the elder – captain of the team, Faker, was quite optimistic even after losing to G2 and RNG as well as just winning against weak opponents. In the interview after the third day of the recent Melee round, Faker was very optimistic: “All the past games were BO 1s and anyone can lose BO 1s like that. The team has learned a lot from such losses. We still maintain a very positive attitude about this. situation. To be polite, I myself don’t care much about the defeats in the Melee round.”

Faker admits that he himself is not too important if he has to lose in Melee

It can be said that Faker was mentally prepared for the defeats in the last Melee round. As one of the oldest players to attend this MSI, he certainly understands better than anyone about the MSI tournament – which can be seen as also witnessing many ups and downs in Faker’s career. In particular, it was at MSI 2019, Faker also failed in the Semifinals before G2. Therefore, these BO 1 losses, as Faker said, are an opportunity for him and the team to learn from experience and prepare for more important stages ahead.
