Lithuania’s current energy needs are met through domestic supply and imports from Sweden, Poland and Latvia.

According to Reutersthe EU has proposed to support 2.14 billion USD for Central and Eastern European countries lacking supply not from Russia.

“We will achieve a breakthrough in the next few days,” Minister Habeck confirmed to radio ZDFalso said that the European Commission and the US are working in parallel on a proposal to limit global oil prices.

“This is clearly an unusual measure but we are going through extraordinary times,” added Minister Habeck.
