Declare the child’s death while still alive, what does the mother report to the police?

At the police station, the mother gave two surprising reasons for making a death certificate for her living son.

On May 24, news from the People’s Committee of Tan An ward (Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province) confirmed with Workers, Mrs. TTNP (SN 1990 – who declared the death of her 3-year-old son as a nephew of NHL) had a report on the incident.

Declare the child’s death because his ex-husband smashed and bothered

Specifically, Mrs. P. said that on May 12, Mr. Nguyen The Dung (SN 1981, the father of L.) came to the house to disturb, smash the pot and throw it at the glass door. This situation happened many times, sometimes Mr. Dung used a crowbar to pry open the glass door of the house, sometimes turned off the electricity, broke the pot even though it was divorce very long time.

Although the court granted Mrs. P. to raise her child, Mr. Dung took her child back to Kon Tum from time to time. Mr. Dung also took advantage of a large family member to put pressure on her, telling her about money for diapers and milk and things. Then he bothered her all day, asking for land and house even though this was pre-marital property.

In the report, Ms. P. also added an unexpected reason that on May 11, she sent her child to a family with a good record, promised to make a birth certificate and the two families still went back and forth. When I finish primary school, I will send them to Buon Ma Thuot city to study.

“I just thought of making a death certificate because my family history has someone with a criminal record. I thought it was good for my children, but I didn’t understand the law well, didn’t ask the judicial officer of Tan An ward. to advise” – Mrs. P. gave the second reason and admitted her mistake.

Ex-husband filed an application to the court to change custody of the children

On May 24, Mr. Nguyen The Dung (41 years old, living in Kon Tum) shared with VnExpress, found the child in Dak Mil (Dak Nong), after many days, his ex-wife Phuong (who lives in Dak Lak) made a death certificate and took the child to hide. “He is still healthy, but a bit shy. Through this incident, I will soon apply to the court to change custody of my child,” he said.

Mr. Dung married Phuong in 2018, gave birth to a son a few months old, then they divorced. The court entrusted the child to the care of the mother. At the end of 2019, his ex-wife said “I can’t raise children”, so he brought the boy back to live with him.

At the end of April, Mr. Dung took his son to Dak Lak for treatment, then asked his grandmother (Ms Phuong’s mother) who lives in Tan An ward, Buon Ma Thuot city, to take care of him for a few months before returning to Kon Tum to work.

However, in mid-May, Mr. Dung repeatedly video calls to his ex-wife to see his children, so he went to find him. When she met her, Phuong gave him her son’s death certificate (issued by Tan An ward), saying he had died. Unbelievable and angry at the fact that his ex-wife made a death certificate to hide the child, Mr. Dung posted information online to find his child, and at the same time went to Tan An ward to find out the matter.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nha, Vice Chairman of Tan An ward, said that on May 11, Phuong came to present her “dead son” at home a week ago due to pneumonia, and asked for a death certificate for him. At that time, the mother cried and looked sad, so the staff trusted her, did not verify the incident according to the regulations, but submitted it for signature. This, Mr. Nha admitted to the press was negligent.
