Draw for the Asian U20 qualifying round 2023: U20 Vietnam entered a comfortable group

Specifically, U20 Vietnam will share Group F with U20 teams including: Indonesia, Timor Leste and Hong Kong (China). Meanwhile, other Southeast Asian representatives such as Thailand U20, Philippines U20, Cambodia U20 and Singapore U20 will face more difficulties, when they are in the same group with many strong West Asian teams including: Oman, Afghanistan , Tajikistan, Lebanon.

The 2023 Asian U20 qualifier includes 44 teams, divided into 10 groups hosted by 10 countries (6 groups of 4 teams and 4 groups of 5 teams). Besides Indonesia, the remaining groups will be held in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan. The qualifying matches will take place from September 14 to September 18. 2022. 10 group winners and 5 best runners-up teams will participate in the 2023 AFC U20 Finals with host Uzbekistan U20. If Uzbekistan U20 is in the group of 5 best runner-up teams, the group runner-up with the 6th best record will continue.
