Loving their children, parents should still let their children go through these sufferings

There is an old saying “suffering first, happiness later” meaning that after experiencing difficulties, hardships and even suffering, then when we receive the “sweet fruits”, when we enjoy happiness, we can appreciate it. more important.

This saying applies to raising children is still completely reasonable. What parent doesn’t love their children and just want the best for them? However, if you love your children too much and always cover them, it will be difficult for the child to grow up and be independent. Therefore, no matter how much parents love their children, they should also let their children bear these four types of suffering.

1. It’s hard to practice and study

No one has become a genius in one step. All have to go through a process of studying and training very hard and hard.

Children are not always interested in learning and practicing. Just like when we were young, we always feel that learning is the most difficult thing in the world. However, when growing up, adults realize that the time of going to school is the “easiest” time.

Seeing their children upset, crying when they sit at the table to study, when they practice… the parents relent and tell them: “Well, you don’t have to study anymore” or “if you can’t practice, it’s okay, try to force yourself what to do”… then we accidentally made the child lazy, without will.

Tomorrow, when you grow up and go out into society, you will have to face many other difficulties and challenges. It could be a work deadline, a competency contest,… I can’t find it too difficult to just ignore! And now parents cannot be with their children and do them for them.

On the other hand, when you study and practice hard, you will achieve achievements. In fact, geniuses or sports athletes, … all have to go through a process of studying and training hard.

So no matter how much they love their children, parents should still suffer while studying. There will be times when children want to be lazy, want to give up, parents should be there to encourage them. However, parents should remember that encouraging children to learn is different from forcing them to study too much, cramming. That way when children succeed, children will be grateful to their parents for teaching them to be where they are today.

2. It’s hard to be independent

When a child is always held by his parents, he will never know how to walk. Children must stand on the ground on their own, slowly stand up and take their first steps. Maybe at that time, the baby is not stable enough, he will fall and cry because of the pain. But without that stage, I will forever just sit in one place and not be able to walk.

The rector of Tsinghua University’s Institute of Social Sciences once said, “Real parenting is not about growing plants in a greenhouse, but about building children’s full personality while teaching them to face the world one by one. me”. However, there are still many parents who often tell their children: “You just need to be good. Everything is taken care of by parents”. This saying comes from the love of parents for their children. But parents cannot always run after their children and take care of them for the rest of their lives.

Ideally, from a young age, parents should train their children to be independent. The simplest example is letting your child feed, dress, and sleep on his own. With that, in the future tense, the child loses the firm support of the parents, the child can still continue to move forward.

3. Teach your child to overcome pain when receiving criticism

When children are wrong, adults will criticize and punish them. The child will burst into tears of fear, or feel frustrated, or simply seek rescue. If parents rush to relent, or cover up their mistakes, close their eyes to their children’s misbehavior… then, over time, that child will become unruly and rebellious.

Building discipline in children and helping them to be ready to deal with criticism are indispensable factors for children to be shaped into people. When they grow up, they will have the courage to face the waves.

Children cannot tell right from wrong. Therefore, parents should set an example, instruct their children with words and guide them on the right path.

4. Teach your children to suffer hardship at work

Many parents are afraid that their children will be tired, injured, or dirty their clothes… so they often take on all of their work. Many fathers and mothers tell their children: “You just need to study well, let me take care of the housework”. That’s not right! Parents who pamper their children too much are very dangerous. It will turn you into a lazy, sluggish kid. When a child only knows how to learn, the child will become a “nerd”, only good in theory, but when applied in practice, they may not know how to do it.

Diligence is a necessary quality in all situations. When children work hard, when the time comes to receive the results, the child will surely appreciate a lot more than the parents have laid out in front of them.
