Records were set by U23 Vietnam after winning the 31st SEA Games gold medal

In the final of the 31st SEA Games men’s football, U23 Vietnam excellently won at least 1-0 against Thailand U23 to win the gold medal. Nham Manh Dung became a hero when he scored the only goal in the 83rd minute.

This is the first time in history that Vietnamese men’s football has won against Thailand in the SEA Games final. 4 previous times in the years 1995 (lost 0-4), 1999 (lost 0-2), 2003 (lost 1-2) and 2005 (lost 0-3), the “Golden Star Warriors” all had to receive failure.

SEA Games 31 is also the first time, Vietnamese men’s football successfully defended the gold medal at the biggest sports festival in Southeast Asia.

In the history of SEA Games, U23 Vietnam is the first team to win a gold medal without conceding a goal. At the same time, the students of Coach Park Hang-seo are also the champion team with the fewest goals (8 goals).

Mr. Park became the first coach in history to help Vietnamese men’s football win 2 consecutive SEA Games gold medals.
