Unfortunately, in the semi-final match with U23 Malaysia, Le Van Xuan suffered a knee ligament injury and could not participate in the final. Specifically, in the collision situation with striker Abdul Razak, the opponent’s impact phase caused him to lose his balance and landed in a bent knee.

After leaving the field, the defender of Hanoi Club was taken directly to the hospital to check the extent of the injury. Doctors diagnosed this as an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Fortunately, Le Van Xuan’s meniscus and posterior cruciate ligament did not have serious problems.

According to research from Dan Viet, Le Van Xuan will have to undergo surgery to completely cure the injury. This player is likely to leave for Singapore in the coming days and needs about 6 months to be able to return to the pitch.

With the current situation, it is certain that Le Van Xuan will not be able to attend the 2022 AFC U23 Championship in early June and the 2022 V.League will start again in July with Hanoi Club.
