Arrest the subject of pouring pesticides into the well to kill his ex-wife

This morning (May 25), the police of Dak Lak province executed a temporary arrest warrant for Chu Sy Duy (45 years old) residing in Ea Tan commune, Krong Nang district to investigate the crime of “murder”.

Duy was taken into custody.

According to initial investigation results, in 2004, Duy married Ms. Chu Thi My (41 years old) and had 2 children together. By 2020, due to too many conflicts in life, Duy and his wife went to court for divorce.

After the divorce, Duy still lives in the house that the couple lived in before, while My and her two children live in a farm house, 75m away from Duy’s house.

Although divorced, Duy and My always had conflicts about money, especially Duy discovered that My sister had an emotional relationship with another man, so they raised the intention to kill her.

Thinking to do it, at about 5pm on August 30, 2021, Duy took two bottles of insecticide, walked down to Ms. My’s house and surreptitiously poured it into the well. However, Duy’s actions were discovered by Mrs. My and her two children.

Waiting for Duy to leave, Ms. My drew water from the well to check and discovered that there was a smell of pesticides, so she reported it to the authorities.

After 9 months of receiving dossiers from Krong Nang District Police to conduct investigation, up to now, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Lak Province Police has executed an arrest warrant for Chu Sy Duy for “murder”. .

The case is still being investigated by the police.
