Mercedes-AMG pure electric Vision concept version revealed

The pure electric Mercedes-AMG Vision concept car has just been introduced by the German automaker.

The Mercedes-AMG Vision concept electric car is considered a preview of the first all-electric AMG built on the German automaker’s dedicated EV platform. When going into actual production, the Mercedes-AMG Vision will be a direct competitor to the Porsche Taycan or the Audi RS E-Tron GT.

Mercedes-AMG says the dedicated EV platform is completely researched and developed by the company, including the battery and engine. In particular, the engine minimizes the use of ready-made components from companies such as Bosch or Yamaha.

The German automaker promises that the engine will be very compact, light in weight but provide significantly more power than the conventional type. This engine is being developed by YASA, a company that Mercedes-Benz will acquire in 2021.

In terms of styling, the Mercedes-AMG Vision concept has a long wheelbase and a raised tail reminiscent of the Vision EQXX concept. The front of the car has a very unique headlight design in the shape of the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star logo. The grille consists of slats placed and can be lit vertically.

The new Mercedes-AMG electric model is also equipped with 22-inch wheels with blue outlines, while the AMG words are white reminiscent of the cars. Mercedes AMG Petronas F1. Many star logos are prominently printed on the rear part of the side of the car.

At the rear, the rear spoiler improves aerodynamics. The rear of the car also has a highlight of 6 circular LED tail lights, divided by 3 lights on each side. The entire body is painted in Alu Beam silver, including the side windows and rear windshield

The Mercedes-AMG Vision concept is in development, so it promises to have many improvements before going into actual production.
