The document of the Ministry of Health said that the World Health Organization forecast that monkeypox epidemic would continue to increase the number of cases in the near future.

In order to proactively monitor smallpox cases when and promptly implement epidemic prevention and control measures, minimizing the number of cases and deaths, the Ministry of Health proposes the People’s Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government. The central government directs the Department of Health and related units to implement the following contents, specifically:

1. Actively monitor and detect suspicious cases at the border gateespecially those returning from countries where monkeypox is endemic;

2.Strengthening surveillance to detect cases at medical facilities in the area; coordinate with the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Pasteur to diagnose and identify the case.

3. Actively communicating and raising people’s awareness about monkeypox and measures to prevent and control the epidemic as recommended by health authorities.
