Shooting at an American elementary school, 15 people died
An 18-year-old boy opened fire at an elementary school in Texas, killing 14 students and a teacher.
The shooting happened at Robb elementary school in Uvalde city, Texas, USA at noon on May 24 (morning of May 25, Hanoi time). Governor Greg Abbott said the 18-year-old gunman is believed to have fatally shot his grandmother before going to elementary school with a handgun and possibly an assault rifle.
“He shot dead 14 students and one teacher,” Mr Abbott said.
He added that the shooter was a local teenager and an American citizen. The man died after the attack, believed to have been shot down by response forces.

It was the deadliest mass shooting in the US since 14 high school students and three staff members were killed in an attack in Parkland, Florida in 2018, and the worst incident at an elementary school since. The 2012 shooting in Sandy Hook, Connecticut, left 20 children and six employees dead.
