Shooting at US elementary school, at least 14 students were killed
Texas state officials, USA, said the suspect responsible for the shooting at Robb elementary school in the city of Uvalde on May 24 (local time) was an 18-year-old young man.
“At least 14 students and a teacher at Robb Primary School in the city of Uvalde were killed in the shooting. The suspect is an 18-year-old young man who is believed to have killed his grandmother with a gun before carrying out the shooting,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said.

“The suspect, named Salvador Ramos, drove to Robb Primary School with a pistol and possibly an assault rifle, then carried out the shooting. The police force, after being dispatched to the scene, opened fire to kill the suspect. During the shootout with Ramos, two policemen were slightly injured,” Abbott added.
Immediately after the news of the shooting was announced, White House officials sent condolences to the families of the unfortunate victims. “US President Joe Biden was informed of the elementary school shooting in Texas, and his prayers are with the families of those affected by this terrible event,” White House Secretary Karine Jean Pierre said.
