VN-Index increased more than 35 points

Large-cap stocks are the growth engine of the market. The VN30 stock basket had 27/30 gainers, while there were only 2 decliners and 1 standstill. Notably, FPT and PNJ hit the ceiling price.

Banking stocks increased strongly when 23/27 stocks increased. Strong gainers such as: SHB up 5.6%, ABB up 5.2%, VPB up 5%, STB up 4.6%, MBB up 4.5%, HDB up 4.3%, MSB up 4, 2%, LPB up 4.1%, TCB up 3.5%… PGB was the only loser with 2.6%.

Green color covered the group of securities stocks. VIX and ORS codes hit the ceiling. Pillar codes in the group such as: SHS up 7.1%, VCI up 6.1%, MBS up 5.8%, HCM up 5.3%, VDS up 3.7%, VND up 3.3%, SSI rose 2.5%.

Insurance stocks did not have any codes in the bearish direction. Two codes BLI and PTI at the reference point. All remaining insurance codes increased in price; in which, PVI increased by 4.9%, ABI increased by 4.4%, BVH increased by 3.7%, BMI increased by 3.2%…

Real estate stocks also had a good gain when all 3 codes in the Vingroup family increased in price. Specifically, VRE increased by 4.8%, VHM increased by 1.5%, VIC increased by 0.1%. Small and medium-cap stocks also gained very positively, even CEO, IDJ, ITA, SCR, SZC increased by all ranges.

Seafood stocks also gained simultaneously with ACL, ANV, CMX, FMC, VHC hitting the ceiling price. Stocks in construction, rubber, minerals, chemicals, tourism and entertainment… also gained; in which, many codes hit the ceiling.

Looking at the whole market, technology stocks gained the strongest average of 6.87%, followed by energy stocks with an average of 5.61% or consumer stocks with an increase of 4.75%.

In terms of excitement, financial stocks are traded the most with a value of more than 3,700 billion VNDfollowed by materials with nearly 2,900 billion VND.

On the other side, Hoa Phat’s HPG continued its bad performance as it lost another 1.3% to 34,450 dong and was the code with the most negative impact on the index. Next is Phat Dat’s PDR, which decreased by 0.8% to 52,800 VND.

Some speculative stocks also saw the opposite movement today. FLC Faros’ ROS hit a floor price at one point before recovering and fell by 3.5% or Louis Capital’s TGG fell 4.2% to 9,200 dong.

Today, foreign investors saw a slight net buying of 3.15 billion dong on HOSE, 22.3 billion dong on HNX and 15.71 billion dong on UPCOM.

Closing the trading session on May 25, VN-Index increased 35.05 points to 1,268.43 points. The trading volume reached more than 655.2 million units, equivalent to over 16,574.2 billion dong. The whole floor had 415 stocks of gaining, 49 stocks of decreasing and 38 stocks of standing still.

HNX-Index increased 8.95 points to 314.91 points. Trading volume reached more than 95.8 million units, equivalent to more than 2,178.6 billion dong. On the whole floor, there were 174 stocks of gaining, 47 stocks of decreasing and 36 stocks of standing still.

UPCOM-Index increased 1.66 points to 94.78 points. Trading volume reached more than 47.5 million units, equivalent to more than 935.3 billion dong. The whole floor had 288 stocks of increasing price, 77 stocks of decreasing and 53 stocks of standing still.

The total trading value of the whole market reached more than 19,741 billion VND, corresponding to the matched volume of more than 800 million units; in which, matching transactions on HOSE reached more than 16,574 billion dong, up nearly 24% compared to the previous session.
