Nguyen The Vinh – CEO of Coin98 Finance: the financial sector

Nguyen The Vinh is the co-founder and CEO of Coin98 Finance, one of the pioneering and focused startups on blockchain technology. In January 2022, Binance Labs announced an undisclosed strategic investment in Coin98. In 2021, Coin98 completed a seed round worth $1.25 million. Prior to that, Nguyen The Vinh was a software engineer at FPT Software Ho Chi Minh City, co-founder and manager of VIC Group – a cryptocurrency investment startup.

Le Yen Thanh – CEO Phenikaa MaaS: industry – manufacturing field

Le Yen Thanh is the founder of the BusMap project – a public transport application, which later developed into a smart mobility solution startup Phenikaa MaaS. This startup used its core technology to release Covid-19 information maps for 18 provinces.

Receiving an investment of 1.5 million USD from Phenika corporation, Phenikaa MaaS plans to expand to the whole region, starting from Thailand, namely Bangkok and Chiangmai. Le Yen Thanh has won more than 100 national and international awards for her programming skills.

Nguyen Thanh – CEO of VinBus: industry – manufacturing

Vinbus operates electric buses manufactured by Vinfast – the parent automobile group and the largest corporation in Vietnam, VinGroup. Vinbus opens its service in Hanoi in 2021 and plans to expand to other cities. Nguyen Thanh is one of the youngest leaders at VinGroup, joining Vinbus in 2019 and focusing on providing affordable and accessible transportation. Before that, he set up his own textile factory at the age of 18 before dropping out of university to work at companies like KFC Vietnam, Cargill Vietnam and Lazada Vietnam.

Designer Uyen Tran – founder of TomTex: industry – manufacturing

Textile designer and researcher Uyen Tran co-founded New York-based TomTex, which makes a leather alternative of the same name. ShrimpTex is a 100% bio-based material, created from shellfish or mushroom waste. ShrimpTex uses a biofilm-forming agent called chitin, which the company extracts from waste shrimp, crab and lobster shells as well as fish scales collected by suppliers in Vietnam.

ShrimpTex won the LVMH Innovation Award, the CFDA k11 Innovation Award, and the Idea Development Award and raised $1.7 million. Uyen holds a master’s degree from Parson School of Design, New York.
