ShrimpTex is a 100% bio-based material, created from shellfish or mushroom waste. ShrimpTex uses a biofilm-forming agent called chitin, which the company extracts from waste shrimp, crab and lobster shells as well as fish scales collected by suppliers in Vietnam.
