On the afternoon of May 26, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a reporter’s question about creating conditions for Chinese businesses and traders to purchase lychees in Bac Giang province, the Ministry’s Spokesperson Diplomat Le Thi Thu Hang said:

According to Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, for lychee products, the authorities and localities of Vietnam and China have actively coordinated to successfully organize many activities to introduce, connect and promote consumption. lychees in the two countries, attracting the attention of many Chinese businesses and traders. At the same time, regularly exchange information on regulations in import and export, contributing to improving the efficiency of customs clearance and goods circulation on the basis of ensuring the requirements of each country’s epidemic prevention and control.

Ms. Hang said that on May 25, Bac Giang province held an online conference to promote lychee consumption with 80 domestic and international demand points, with the participation of ministries, branches and leaders. People’s Committees of provinces and cities, local fruit import and export associations, retail groups, supermarket systems, domestic and foreign businesses and traders; including the very active participation of some Chinese localities such as: Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan.

The lychee crop in Bac Giang is expected to be harvested from May 25 to July 25.
