Important timelines for the public 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi in 2022

In the school year 2021-2022, the whole city has about 129,000 students considering graduating from secondary school, an increase of about 19,000 students compared to the previous school year.

It is expected that, in the 2022-2023 school year, high schools will enroll 104,000 students in 10th grade, of which about 77,000 will go to public schools (accounting for 60%). The rest will go to private schools (about 27,000 students); continuing education centers (about 12,900 students) and vocational education institutions (about 12,100 students).

On May 31, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the number of students applying to each public high school.

Previously, Hanoi also announced details of enrollment quotas for 10th grade in public high schools, autonomous public schools, specialized schools, private schools, vocational education and continuing education centers and other educational institutions. The entrance exam to grade 10 for public schools in Hanoi will take place on June 18-19 with three subjects of Literature, Foreign Languages ​​and Mathematics. Candidates taking the exam in specialized subjects will take the test on June 20.

No later than July 9, Hanoi will announce the exam results to candidates.
