Ukraine criticizes NATO for “doing almost nothing” to support war with Russia

“There are people who criticize me because I say that NATO has done nothing since the war broke out. Those are my NATO experts. They say that I must take a more constructive stance. But the point of view. mine is very constructive. We’ve seen countries support Ukraine, including a group of NATO countries. When the war began, the general public sentiment was that NATO was a strong force and that the EU could only express concern to a certain extent. But this war is a test, taking off the masks and showing us the real faces,” Kuleba said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on May 25.

“What we saw were breakthrough decisions by the EU, even decisions that we didn’t think of. And we saw NATO as an alliance, an organization that stood on the sidelines without doing anything wrong. whatever. I’m very sorry to have to say this.”

Affirming that Ukraine’s military had shown itself to be the “strongest” force in Europe, Kuleba called on the West to “kill Russian exports” and make “Russia pay” for challenging the “order” international” and urged Washington and its allies to provide Ukraine with more weapons, including missile systems, along with economic support.

“We appreciate the sanctions that are being implemented. Some of them have helped undermine Russia’s strategic stability, or make it impossible for Russia to produce more modern weapons. However, as long as the EU continues to buy oil and gas, Russia’s pockets will still be full.”

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on May 25 that Moscow will take appropriate countermeasures if other countries hold Russian accounts abroad.
