New Zealand newspaper praises tourist spots in Vietnam

The NZ Herald compares Hoi An to a small Venice, Ho Chi Minh City is suitable for brave travelers, the Mekong Delta is a land of joy…

NZ Herald of New Zealand called Vietnam an inspiring place for international tourism after Covid-19. This newspaper points out the reasons to come to Vietnam for New Zealanders to refer to, in which they appreciate many destinations from North to South.

First, the newspaper praised Vietnam’s rich ethnic mix, considering it one of Southeast Asia’s most culturally diverse countries. Things change spectacularly from the northern mountainous provinces like Lao Cai, Ha Giang with the culture of ethnic minorities coming to the island Phu Quoc (Kien Giang). The newspaper also praised the island’s transformation, from a wild place to a tourist destination with many attractive services, good infrastructure and many rich experiences such as diving, watching the sunset, walking The longest sea cable car in the world… If you want to experience more about the differences of ethnic groups, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi.

Bay Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Hanoi, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Cat Tien National Park (Dong Nai), Mekong Delta… are places to visit in Vietnam. In Ha Long, visitors are suggested to explore on luxury yachts, enjoy high-class service and food. The newspaper uses the word “key” for Hanoi, for this is the place to understand clearly about Vietnam. Take a walk in the streets with French architecture and Opera House. Contrasting with the classic European look is the bustling old town.

Hoi An is likened to a miniature Venice by the newspaper. There are many “tourist traps” but this is also a romantic getaway with timeless beauty. Cat Tien National Park is a unique experience to visit the beauty of Vietnam’s tropical forests with precious animals. Ho Chi Minh City is a place of “rush, frenzy, chaos, non-stop” where to experience the pulse of a modern Vietnam. The pen Nigel Richardson witty writes, “If brave, walk here, immerse yourself in the streets and alleys”…

Mekong Delta called the “land of joy” by the newspaper with its river life and floating markets. Here, the most interesting travel experience is to explore the land by riding a boat. If you want to learn about the Vietnam war, go to the Cu Chi tunnels or Con Dao. In particular, Con Dao is attractive with beautiful beaches.
