Seizing more than 100,000 cosmetic products suspected of being smuggled

Inspecting the nearly 500m2 warehouse of Dotcom Technology Service Company Limited at 45/20 Luong Minh Nguyet, Tan Thoi Hoa Ward, Tan Phu District, functional forces discovered more than 100,000 products including cosmetics, lipstick, makeup remover… suspected of being smuggled.

At the time of inspection, the warehouse owner could not present the purchase and sale invoice and the origin of the product. All of these cosmetics are made in China, without Vietnamese sub-labels. The owner of the shipment has not yet registered a business license. Warehouse is leased from April 2021. The whole product is worth about 6 billion VND.

Cosmetics of unknown origin are sold by establishment owners to consumers through social networking sites and e-commerce sites.

On the same day, Team 3, Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department inspected the business premises and 2 warehouses of a company at alley 43 Thanh Thai, District 10, discovered many functional food products, Suspected cosmetic products imported from unknown origin. The above items were seized by the competent force for investigation and clarification.
