According to the investigating agency, in 1997, Mr. Chien gave his wife and son more than 7,000 m2 of agricultural land. A few years later, his son died, and his daughter-in-law continued to cultivate this land. In 2010, Mr. Chien recaptured the land, so his daughter-in-law sued.
