Specifically, TCP Company said: At 11:46 am on May 21, at the TCP garage entrance/exit stations at the domestic terminal – Tan Son Nhat international airport, there was a signal loss, the system lost signal. interrupted operation, causing congestion of vehicles in the garage.

To promptly serve customers, TCP garage used paper cards issued by the company to receive and keep motorbikes. At the same time, the area of ​​Tan Son Nhat airport had heavy rain, causing traffic jams. At the same time, the flow of vehicles entering/exiting the intersection causes congestion at the entrance, making the arrival of passenger cars, taxis, and contract vehicles unable to enter the garage, and the parking situation obstructs the flow of vehicles into the domestic terminal.

Accordingly, TCP garage has coordinated and Tan Son Nhat International Airport has regulated vehicles entering the domestic terminal.

The garage has also coordinated to regulate cars in lanes D1, D2 through lanes C and D inside the garage to pick up customers. At the same time, customers send cars to the international terminal to relieve traffic jams at the steel overpass area in front of the port.

By 4 p.m. on the same day, the situation of traffic jams inside and outside the garage was cleared. From 18:14 the problem was completely fixed and the garage was operating normally.

The TCP representative assessed that this was an unfortunate technical problem affecting parking customers and traffic activities around the garage area in particular and Tan Son Nhat airport area. Since then, the TCP garage side has committed to upgrading and ensuring the system’s stable and smooth operation in the future.

Development related to the above incident, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has sent a written request to TCP garage to report the developments and plan to handle the parking fee software problem, affecting vehicle traffic. port in/out, causing serious long-term congestion, failing to meet security and safety requirements.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has requested the Southern Airport Authority and Tan Son Nhat International Airport to strengthen the inspection of road transport activities at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

The aviation authorities requested the Southern Airport Authority and Tan Son Nhat International Airport to fully and seriously implement the instructions of the Ministry of Transport. At the same time, inspect, handle and coordinate to strictly handle violations according to their functions, tasks and competence.

At the same time, actively implementing contents on strengthening solutions to limit traffic jams in front of the passenger terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
