Ford Mustang: 18,363 units sold

The Ford Mustang is one of the best-selling sports coupes in recent times, outstripping the Camaro and Challenger. So far, the 2022 Ford Mustang has sold 18,363 units.

Compared to last year, however, sales of the 2022 Mustang were down, and the main reason was production delays due to a worldwide shortage of microchips.

Another reason for the sharp drop in sales is the spike in gas prices. When gas prices are at an all-time high, driving a sports car with a V8 engine and consuming 13 liters of gas per 100 km is not really economical.

Dodge Charger: 15,438 units sold

The car is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine on the SXT that produces 303 horsepower. Customers who need more thrills, meanwhile, can opt for the R/T Scat package with a 485-horsepower 6.4-liter V8.

The Challenger 2022 got off to a slow start, selling only about 11,125 units in the first quarter of the year. At a glance, it may not be able to outsell the 2021 Challenger, but it’s still one of the best-selling muscle cars of the year so far.

Chevrolet Corvette: 8,812 units sold

If you need a daily car but have the ability to operate a supercar at a reasonable price, you cannot ignore the Chevrolet Corvette. The 2022 version comes in coupe and convertible form. Chevrolet has introduced new features such as an optional low-profile rear spoiler and new fuel pumps.

While many 2022 sports cars are having a hard time selling the 2021 version, the 2022 Corvette does it easily. To date, 8,812 Corvettes have been sold and if Chevrolet keeps its momentum, it could reach 35,248 units by the end of the year.

Chevrolet Camaro: 6,710 units sold

Whether in coupe or convertible form, there’s no denying that the new Chevrolet Camaro is delightful when it comes to overcoming its cramped interior and outward visibility. With the option of a 335hp V6 or a 455hp V8, customers can unlock new levels of more powerful acceleration.

The Camaro 2022 sold about 6,710 units in the first quarter of 2022. If sales progress at this rate, the new Chevrolet Camaro could surpass the 21,893 units sold by the end of 2021.
