The first new generation Mazda MX-5 RF is present in Vietnam

The first Mazda MX-5 RF sports car arrived in Vietnam and was brought back under the private import category.

Mazda MX-5 present in Vietnam belongs to the 4th generation. This model was launched in 2015, but so far Mazda has not launched the next generation of this model. In 2016, this convertible has a special variant when switching from a soft top to a hard top called Retractable Fastback (RF symbol).

The Mazda MX-5 RF has an overall length, width and height of 3,914 x 1,735 x 1,240 (mm), a wheelbase of 2,309 mm and a ground clearance of 135 mm. Thus, the Mazda MX-5 2022 is 105 mm shorter and 100 kg lighter than its predecessor, once distributed genuine in the Vietnamese market, helping the car weigh only nearly 1 ton.

This convertible model has Mazda’s signature red paint color, hard-top detailing and exterior color. In addition, there are many black painted details and dark painted wheels. Mazda MX-5 RF 2022 also has another special variant called Launch Edition limited to 500 vehicles, the exterior has a 2-color roof, racing wheels and Recaro seats inside the car.

The interior of the Mazda MX-5 RF 2022 is almost similar to the soft-top car, but the trunk behind the driver’s seat has been removed, the storage compartment behind the passenger seat as well as the storage box behind the center console has been removed. made more compact to make room for the car’s hardtop structure.

The upgraded Mazda MX-5 is equipped with the latest petrol engine, 2.0L capacity, for a maximum capacity of 181 horsepower and maximum torque of 205 Nm. The car comes with the option of a manual or automatic transmission. This new engine is integrated with Mazda’s Skyactiv technology, the car is offered with many different engines as well as significantly improved power over the years.

In the Vietnamese market, the Mazda MX-5 convertible sports car was also genuine distributed 8 years ago with the model of the 3rd generation. However, due to the low price and sales, Thaco was not satisfied. Auto has stopped selling the sports car.
