A couple in Thanh Hoa who bought a tiger were preparing to cut the meat to cook it when they were caught by the police.

On May 28, information from Thanh Hoa Police said: The Environmental Police Department has just coordinated with the Thuong Xuan District Police to dismantle a line of wild animals (tiger) for cooking.
Before that, the police caught Do Van Lan (SN 1974, residing in Xuan Duong commune, Thuong Xuan district) and some other subjects preparing to butcher a tiger (dead) to cook at home.
The seized exhibits include 1 tiger (dead, frozen) weighing 145kg. Searching Lan’s residence, the police seized an additional 5kg of animal bones, 36 pieces of animal height of 10kg, 6 animal claws and many other exhibits.

At the police station, Lan and his wife Nguyen Thi Oanh confessed to buying the tiger from an unknown man for 130 million VND.
Expanding the case, the police agency determined that the tiger was bought from Hoang Van Hien (born in 1974, residing in Cau Giat town, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An) and the driver of the car transporting the tiger to Lan’s house was Nguyen. Van Lieu (born in 1967, residing in Quynh Luu district, Nghe An).
Right after that, Hien and Lieu also went to Quynh Luu District Police to confess and confess their crimes.
The case is currently under further investigation.
