Hanoi commends and rewards coaches and athletes with excellent achievements at the 31st SEA Games

Mr. Dinh Tien Dung reviewed the achievements and contributions of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 31st SEA Games. Hanoi athletes won 151/446 medals of the Vietnam Sports Delegation (accounting for 33.85%) with 62 gold medals, 35 silver medals, 54 bronze medals, while Hanoi’s athletes are only 24.75% of the total number of members of the Vietnam Sports Delegation. There have been 5 Hanoi athletes continuously broke their own record set at the Games and set 5 new records at SEA Games 31; many athletes won 2, 3 gold medals at the Games…

At the Commendation Ceremony, the athletes and coaches with achievements will be presented with Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People’s Committee together with the prize money with the expected amount of 55 million VND/HCV, 30 million VND/HCB, 25 million VND/ Bronze medal. For coaches with athletes winning medals, the reward level is equal to 50% of that of athletes.

In addition, 124 athletes and coaches who won gold medals were rewarded with unexpected rewards according to the regulations of the City People’s Council at the rate of 4.5 million VND/person; 7 athletes who broke the SEA Games record were each awarded 20 million VND. The athletes are also rewarded from the socialization source with the rate: 10 million VND/HCV; 5 million VND/HCB; 3 million VND/award.

In addition, Hanoi City also rewarded the Hanoi Sports Delegation to join the National Sports Delegation with 3 billion VND, of which, 5 million VND/person was given to athletes, coaches, managers and leaders. Excluding athletes and coaches who have been rewarded with the above levels). The total amount of prize money expected to be awarded to Hanoi Sports Delegations at the commendation ceremony is more than 17.4 billion VND.
