The Ford Bronco Raptor has been officially announced this week, and many people were surprised to learn that the off-road SUV has a more powerful V6 engine than the global best-selling pickup.
The 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 on the SUV announced in January has a capacity of 418 horsepower and 597 Nm of torque, as confirmed by Ford CEO Jim Farley.
Meanwhile, the new Ford Ranger Raptor engine has 26 units less power at 392 hp, 14 units less torque at 583 Nm.

This difference opens up the possibility that the North American version of the Ford Ranger Raptor will be equipped with a more powerful V6 engine, or Ford will launch a more powerful Ranger Raptor configuration with similar parameters to the SUV.
It should be noted that Blue Oval has recently expanded the Raptor lineup with a more powerful Raptor R version for the F-150 and Bronco (specs are unknown), so Ranger is also likely to receive a similar configuration. if the American brand feels there are enough people to buy the said version.
