Toyota 4Runner launches special edition to celebrate 40 years

The Japanese automaker has just launched a special edition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of being on the market for the 4runner model in the US market.

After version Toyota Sienna celebrates 25 years, the Japanese automaker continues to launch another commemorative version of the Toyota 4Runner model in limited quantities. Different trims, commemorative badges, limited production runs and bronze wheels continue in this 4Runner model to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition 2023 uses a body-on-frame chassis structure with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V-6 engine, a classic 5-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Iconic limited production of 4,040 units in this 4Runner launch.

In terms of appearance, 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition stands out with 3-color stripes similar to a rainbow running along the body. The 17-inch alloy wheels added in this version combined with bronze, the exterior color will be available in 3 including: jet black or both Barcelona red and White. This 4Runner version is taken from the SR5 trim level of the 4Runner 2023, but there will be a difference in the grille when taken from the TRD Pro version. A commemorative badge sits on the back door and a bronze 4Runner badge.

Inside the cabin, copper color is also present on many details, the black leatherette seats will be combined with these copper-colored stitching. Badges about this 40th anniversary version are also present on the headrests, center console …. Toyota 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition also adds new safety functions such as blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

For the 4Runner 2022 version, in the North American market, it is sold with 6 trim levels, of which the most expensive TRD Pro version is 54,135 USD, equivalent to more than 1.2 billion VND, while the SR5 version is the cheapest and is the background. The platform of 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition costs $ 38,820, equivalent to more than VND 890 million.

In Vietnam, a number of 4Runner models have also been imported to the country through private import channels and come with a price of about 4 billion VND. The price of this special edition car has not been announced yet, but it will be revealed soon when it will go on sale this year.
