Tourists punished for bathing naked, destroying monuments in Venice

Mayor Luigi Brugnaro called the vandalism a “scar” on the cathedral, which he called “a symbol of Venetian tradition.”
“The people responsible can’t go unpunished, they have to pay!” he wrote on Twitter, calling for more powers for judges for peace.
Posting a photo of the damage to the Rio Marin bridge, he added: “It will take hours to restore at a cost we cannot yet calculate. We should keep these barbarians in a cell at least. a few nights at the most”.
