In order to avoid unnecessary stress in solving the case, Mr. Trinh Duy Trong said that when there is a conflict between students, the school needs to quickly find out and verify the incident as soon as possible. At the same time, actively coordinate with agencies, units (if necessary) and parents of students to handle incidents, manage and educate students.

Previously, on May 28, the Ministry of Education and Training sent an official dispatch requesting the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to direct the handling of the case of violence among students at the American Academy International School (ISHCMC-AA) and send information to the Ministry before May 31. 5. The school did not handle it skillfully

Regarding the incident, in the past 2 days, social networks stirred when Mrs. THT livestream reported that her daughter was beaten at ISHCMC – AA, suffered severe injuries and psychological trauma. However, according to this parent, when she came to work, the school did not allow her to meet her niece accused of assaulting her child and pushed the matter to the two families to resolve themselves.

On the afternoon of May 29, information from the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City said that the Department had received the report from the school and was synthesizing it to send it to the People’s Committee of Thu Duc City and the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City. The Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City did not provide details, but said that in this report, ISHCMC-AA admitted that it was not skillful in handling the case with parents.

According to a representative of Thu Duc City’s Department of Education and Training, from the afternoon of May 27, after the press reflected, this unit made a written request to ISHCMC-AA to report the incident in detail. At noon on May 29, ISHCMC-AA’s fanpage (An Phu Ward, Thu Duc City) posted information to parents, students and staff about the incident on May 26. Accordingly, the school said it will not make any further comment on the incident.

According to the livestream posted on social media, Ms. THT, a parent who admitted that she had a child studying at ISHCMC-AA in An Phu Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, said her child was beaten by a classmate after attending. picnic in Ho Tram.

Mrs. THT continued that the other grandchild also wanted to drag her child out to continue beating. This parent added that some other students were disgruntled and wanted to protect her child, so the other female student beat her. All four children are said to have suffered psychological trauma, crying a lot, panicking, chest tightness, many scratches and bruises on their bodies.

Meanwhile, talking in the media, Mr. Nathan Swenson – Principal of American Academy International School (ISHCMC-AA, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the incident took place outside the school. He also informed that when he met students, some of them had scratches and scrapes. So he sent the children to the school health room to check. The nurse determined that the student was scratched, there was no serious problem, so he sent them home.

According to the representative of ISHCMC-AA, the school follows the handling process, inviting related students to talk to find out before working with their families to resolve the matter. However, when they first started talking, parents came over, there was a dispute, they had to stop. Due to the unresolved issue on May 26, the school continued to find out on May 27 to have a solution.

“The school spoke to 14 students. We understand the situation. The next step is to talk to the parents to resolve the issue.
