Breaking a flight attendant’s tooth, an American female passenger received a prison sentence
Vyvianna Quinonez, 29, will remain under supervision for three years after her release and will have to take self-restraint classes.
“Assault on crew members, who perform vital work to ensure the safety of passengers, will not be tolerated,” prosecutor Randy Grossman said.
Previously, on May 23, 2021, Quinonez assaulted a flight attendant on a flight from Sacramento to San Diego, the Southern District Attorney’s Office of California, announced on May 27.
The office also said that Quinonez would be barred from flying commercially during the period of surveillance.

Quinonez admitted to wrongdoing, specifically obstructing the operations of crew and flight attendants, last December,
Quinonez admitted to assaulting a flight attendant, causing her to break two teeth and get three stitches, just because she was reminded to wear a mask and fasten her seat belt. Quinonez’s attorney has not yet commented on the sentence she must receive.
The ruling comes after federal officials launched a campaign to respond to disruptive and dangerous behavior by airline passengers, mainly related to mask wearing regulations.
According to data from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), since this campaign was launched, the situation has improved, but the rate of disruptive passengers is still higher than pre-pandemic levels of Covid-19.
