Modric extends contract with Real Madrid after Champions League victory

According to information from Spain, Luka Modric will sign a contract extension with Real Madrid another year after winning the Champions League. Despite being 36 years old, Modric is still one of the top midfielders in the world, with an outstanding performance in the Champions League final last season.

The Croatian has three goals and 12 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions. Luka Modric has won 3 titles with Real Madrid this season, which are Spanish Super Cup, La Liga and Champions League. Even Real Madrid are ready to consider extending Modric’s contract until 2024 if he still maintains his performance on the pitch.

For his part, Modric has repeatedly affirmed that he wants to retire in the Real Madrid shirt. This midfielder has had 9 years playing for the Bernabeu team, making a total of 462 appearances and won 19 major trophies. Modric also received the 2018 Golden Ball.
